Aside from black-tie gala dresses I'm never going to wear, coats are my favorite thing to shop for! If you've been reading for a while, you know that I love the oversized / duster look. I found this red piece at Zara a few weeks ago and knew it would become a fall staple for years to come. Funny enough, I received an email from Revolve.com a few days ago telling me "red is this fall's 'it' color..." What a revelation this was. I'm really always ahead of the curve, guys.

Anyways, I usually buy my coats one or two sizes too big (I even have one that's about eight sizes up) just to get this cute oversized effect. However, it seems that more brands are catching onto the trend and creating longer outerwear pieces with a slimming fit, which I don't mind either. The coat I'm wearing above fell into that category - I bought it in an XS, and it's large on me without feeling too boxy.

Camel is another one of those fall staple colors that goes with everything. While I tend to opt for more colorful pieces, I'm trying to incorporate more neutrals into my wardrobe because they're more of a "longterm investment," if you get what I mean.

I'm linking the pieces from my outfit down below, as well as some other oversized coats I've had my eye on this season!

Special thank you to BaubleBar for the earrings featured in this post!
