Twinkle Twinkle Little Sequin

Twinkle Twinkle Little Sequin

When you make more than two trips back to the store just to see it again, it’s time to buy the darned thing already! This week, as I walked into Free People for the third time, I forced myself to do just that. There it was, delicately dressing the window mannequin, calling my name. True love.

Let’s face it: Sparkly pink dresses and I go together like Carrie Bradshaw and Manolo Blahniks. When I saw this little number in the window at Free People, I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. It was dazzling, feminine, and gloriously twirl-able! I went back to the store several times to gawk at it before everyone in the group message lost their minds from all the “should I buy it???” mirror selfies. One of the best purchases of the year, for sure!

The only tricky thing about this one is how exposing it can be! With long, wide-open side slits, I was puzzled on how I could even wear it out of the house. I’ve never been a fan of visible bralettes, so that was out of the picture for me. I opted for dress tape instead, however, and while it certainly stiffened my posture and debilitated most natural arm movements, the payoff made it well worth it (lol)!

If you’re not so into dress tape, I would also recommend wearing a matching, open coat with your more flowy, revealing pieces. Leave people guessing- it’s all the more fun!
