Going to college in an old-fashioned Texan suburb, there is an abundance of timeless, Victorian architecture everywhere the eye can see. In fact, most days, it doesn’t even feel like I’m in Texas anymore, but rather, in something of an old English side city. That being said, it’s always fun to dress the part, tricking myself into brisk winters and cobblestone streets.
Some of my favorite looks happen by accident: in this case, these pieces were some of the only ones not shoved in my closet’s laundry pile. Perfect for any picturesque wintry day, I was excited to match a couple of my favorite garments together. I bought my red coat at Zara after a long infatuation with brocade, my turtleneck from Ralph Lauren, and my jeans from Target. Though my “Burberry” scarf is less Burberry than one might think, it’s identical to the store-boughts from afar (shout-out to my mom for always bringing me back the best knockoffs from her cruises’ souvenir shops)!
When I’m not wearing a pink coat, this is my go-to matchy-matchy winter ensemble. I wore it to the San Antonio Zoo a couple weekends ago and on a movie night double date the Friday before that! It’s classic, easy to wear, and bright enough to make you stand out amongst all the grey this winter season!
