Night-Out Outfits For The Night-In Kind of Girl
While observing and styling modern trends is half of what I do every day, I've oddly never considered myself a very modern dresser. When it comes to going out, I tend to opt for something a little more conservative, classic, and comfortable. It never crossed my mind that a more contemporary look could check so many of those boxes! A fabulous upcoming brand and boutique, Sara Boo, helped me revamp my usual night-out style, and today, I'm sharing some of my favorite looks!
Jumpsuits are a fabulously glamorous alternative to dresses, and frankly, strike me as a little more confident. I love a little '70s in my step, and this particular jumper intertwined just the right amount of bellbottom throwback with a contemporary, slimming silhouette. Prior to trying this one on, I was wholeheartedly convinced that jumpsuits were made for the leggy, 5'10"-and-up kind of girl. I was pretty surprised when I deemed this one my favorite of the collection. High waisted pieces do wonders for your height (a five-inch stiletto and some crafty camera angles don't hurt, either)!
I paired this jumpsuit with some vintage Chanel earrings and a staggeringly high-heeled Louboutin (good for pictures, bad for dancing).
Truthfully, I've never so much as tried on a bandage dress, but I suddenly understand why so many girls swear by them. This particular dress fit me like a glove; it was tight, but not in an uncomfortable way. The fabric feels heavy, but it's actually incredibly breathable. I liked donning something a little outside of my comfort zone, and the colors reminded me of cotton candy. I paired it with my favorite blue heels and some dressy, barred earrings.
This open midriff dress was super fun to wear, as well! I've never worn a dress with a cutout, and this was a very welcomed change. I love love love simple dresses (they're like canvases for your statement jewelry!!), and this white ensemble was the perfect choice for me. It was slimming but not sheer, which definitely something I look for in a dress, especially a white one. I dressed it up with some Michael Kors block heels, a white Kendra Scott bracelet, and some double-hooped earrings from Target.
Special thank you to Sara Boo for sponsoring this post!
