Feelin' Haute Haute Haute
When I passed this Kate Spade wallet and scarf the other day at Nordstrom, I thought for sure that her company had been commissioned to design accessories specifically for Austin. I've never seen anything more representative of my home-city, so naturally, they were both necessary purchases. The wallet even has a mini pepper for the zipper, and the chicest illustrations of hot sauce bottles on the front - how cute!
Neck scarves are my absolute favorite accessory to any outfit, and when wearing a statement scarf, I find that off-the-shoulder dresses are the perfect way to emphasize and compliment it. My dress above is somewhere in between chambray and denim, so that it's not too hot to wear throughout the summer, but not so easily blown up on windier days. I cinched it with a leather belt and opted for these neutral Michael Kors block heels to keep the attention on the accessories.
I tried to stray from anything too matchy-matchy as far as earrings go, so I chose a turquoise pair from BaubleBar's new Sugarfix line for an additional pop of color. BaubleBar, for those of you who don't know, is a super cute jewelry company specializing in those tassel earrings we all know and love. Their latest project, Sugarfix, is their more affordable line for Target. They have some of the most fun statement jewelry I've seen all season!
I love how these fun accessories bring life to neutrals; I think the pepper scarf would also look fabulous tied around a red, pink, or beige bag!
Special thank you to BaubleBar for sponsoring this post!
